Welcome to Cam’s World!
DeAndra is a young mother from New York who’s son was diagnosed with autism at two years old. She wrote this book to show the world the very few things that go on in her sons Cameron’s daily life. She wanted to create a fun but educating way to help other children understand autism. She hopes that through reading this book, many little ones will understand that it’s okay if other children are different from them, and that we are all different in our own way and shouldn’t judge one another for being such. Her goal is to spread awareness and to make a difference in this world as an autism mom. Today, Cameron is 10 years old and continues to beat all odds. Together her and Cameron hope to inspire others who have special needs and make a difference in their community and around the world.

POSITIVE LEARNING COLLABORATIVE
The Positive Learning Collaborative (PLC) is a partnership between the United Federation of Teachers and NYC Department of Education that helps schools ensure that every child develops the social, emotional and academic skills needed to succeed in school and life.

Testing is being prioritized for all DOE students (3K through 12th Grade), employees, employees of DOE contracted early childhood programs, and affiliated family child care networks, and employees of DOE- and DYCD-contracted Learning Bridges programs at 22 H+H testing sites during the 2020-2021 school year.

NYC DOE CONSENT FORM FOR COVID-19 TESTING
What is this form? We are seeking your consent to test your child for COVID-19 infection.The New York City Department of Education(NYC DOE), working with NYC Health + Hospitals and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, has partnered with laboratories and other providers to test NYC DOE students, teachers, and staff members for COVID-19 infection.
THE GLEN OAKS LITTLE LEAGUE CHALLENGER DIVISION
If you have a child that is challenged and you would like them to play baseball. The Glen Oaks Little Challenger Division is just for them. Here we play in a environment that is totally accepting of them.
Here we allow boys and girls with physical and mental Challenges, ages 4 to 18 or up to 21 if they are still in High School, to play ball.

DOE ATTENDANCE POLICY
In-person Instruction: Present
Student is physically present in the classroom / school learning environment for instruction during the scheduled school day.
Remote Instruction: Present (any of the below)
Student is virtually present in a remote learning environment for synchronous instruction during the scheduled school day.
Blended/in person Instruction: Absent
Not physically present in the classroom school learning environment for instruction during the scheduled school day.
In the school building but not attending any classes or not meeting with a guidance counselor or other licensed pedagogue.
Remote Instruction: Absent
Not virtually present during remote class, remote lesson, or scheduled teacher -student instruction during the scheduled school day.
REGARDING ABSENCES AND RETURNING TO SCHOOL/COVID SYMPTOMS
Symptoms of COVID-19 are:
Fever of 100.0°F or higher or chills,
Cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing,
Muscle or body aches,
Loss of taste or smell,
Sore throat, congestion or runny nose,
Nausea or vomiting,
Students showing symptoms of COVID-19 will be escorted to the Isolation Room by a designated staff member wearing appropriate PPE.
