ABOUT P4 QUEENS
P4Q is a multi-site organization serving students of varied populations in the Fresh Meadows, Bayside, Laurelton, Rosedale, Richmond Hill, Astoria and Long Island City sections of Queens. These neighborhoods are primarily residential. We are housed in three self-contained school buildings and four community schools.
Our student population is comprised of pre-kindergarten through eighth grade students who have been identified as severely emotionally challenged, having intellectual disabilities, or on the autism spectrum. These programs encourage behavioral growth through the use of Errorless Correction for students on the autism spectrum and a Power of Choice token economy behavior program that stresses anger control and management and strives to focus students on their ability to make good choices. Counseling, speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy are provided, based on the mandates from the students’ Individualized Education Plan, as related services.
